Polemics on the proximity and affinities of three insectivora taxa

Abstract: The placement and the putative alliance among the insectivorous taxa are discussed in the light of chemical data and the available data from collateral disciplines such as anatomy, cytology, embryology, morphology and palynology. The multi‐disciplinary evalution and the totality of evidence suggest the disbandment of Droseraceae and a close approximation and fraternal affinity between Nepenthaceae and Sarraceniaceae.
