Pole-changing motor for lift installation

Abstract: The Numerous lift installation require two speeds of rotation for the work. One of them is necessary for lifting, and another for exact stop of a cabin at a level of a floor. Now in these installations two speed motors with two separate windings are used. In this paper the opportunity of creation of the highly effective two-speed motor with pole-changing winding for lifts and elevator installations is considered. The industrial test results of motors with such windings are shown. The advantages of motors with … Show more

“…The development of pole-changing windings in pole ratios p 1 /p 2 =3/6 based on basic circuits (BS) is peculiar, the use of asynchronous motors with a basic circuit of the type "Y/YY with additional branches" and "Y-Δ/YY" is appropriate. Including, on the drives of the undercarriage of mine self-propelled cars, when obtaining PCW based on schemes like "Y/YY with additional branches" and "Y-Δ/YY", one has to synthesize a suitable one for one of the pluses of the DSSF [15].…”

“…The basis of the method is a method in which two windings of normal design are taken (one of them is original, the other is typical) with a given number of poles (2p 1 , 2p 2 ) and phases (m 1 , m 2 ) and are simultaneously used in the process of constructing a pole-changing winding, according to the principle approximation of the current distribution and the pattern of the magnetomotive forces of the synthesized winding to the current distribution and the picture of the magnetomotive forces of a typical winding, where each layer of conductors distributed over the grooves with conditional currents is replaced by a discrete element of the winding [4]. A discretely given spatial function of a conventional winding is the state of the conductor and is assigned to the coil side with one conditional conductor, through which a single current of one direction or another flows in a slot belonging to one of the phases and designated identically with this phase [5].…”
