Kissman: fjber Ring-Ketten-Tautomerie bei Ozoniden und die Salzbildung bei Schiffwhen Basen") **) Die auffallenden Veranderungen, welche die bestindigen Ozonide XIVa und XIVb beim ubergang in die Salzform zeigen, wurden chemisch, spektrophotometrisch und polarographisch verfolgt. Vor allem der hypsochrome Effekt der Salzbildung auf die UV-Absorption berechtigt zu dem SchluS, daB in ihren Salzen die Ozonide sich von der Ringform XVIa bzw. XVIb ableiten. Alle zum Vergleich herangezogenen offenen oder cyclkchen Sohiffschen Basen, auch die erstmals hergestellten 2-Aryl-oxazine (XIb, XI c), zeigen einen ausgesproohenen bathochromen Effekt in saurem Medium. Die Auswertung der URund UV-spektrophotometrischen Daten einer Anzahl Schiffscher Basen und ihrer Salze fuhrt zu dem SchluD, daB die von Dimroth vorgeschlagene Formulierung der Salze offener Schiffseher Basen a h Carbinol-ammonium-Verbindungen, mit Ausnahme besonderer FLlle, nicht mehr vertretbar ist. Zur Chemie der 4.5-Benzo-1.3-oxazine Die duxch Ozonisation verschiedener Indol-Derivate erhiiltlichen bestiindigen Ozonidel), deren Reduktionen z, sowie siiure-und basen-katalysierte Umlagerungen e, wir im Rahmen von Untersuchungen iiber den Mechanismus der Oxydation von Indol-Verbindungen im allgemeinen und des Tryptophans3) i m besonderen verfolgten, wurden von It. Criegee4) als Oxazin-Abkommlinge (XIVa, XIV b) formuliert. I m folgenden sind einige Beobachtungen mitgeteilt, die zu dem Schlusse fuhren, daB in diesen Ozoniden ein Grenzfall vorliegt und da13 sie in neutraler Losung als offene Oxazinhydroperoxyde (XIVa, XIVb) vorliegen, die in saurer (und bei XIVa auch in alkalischer Losung) aber mit den ring-geschlossenen Isoozoniden im Gleichgewicht stehen.Die verschiedenen Wege zur Bereitung der zum Vergleich benotigten Oxazin-Abkommlinge sind in Tafel 1 gezeigt. Das Ausgangsmaterial ist Anthranilsiiure (Ia) oder ihr khylester (Ib), die leicht in 6-0x0-2-phenyl-4.5-benzo-1.3oxazin (,,Benzoylanthranil", IV) 5, einerseits und o-Amino-benzylalkohol(I1) 6,
