In the era of globalization, more and more children are being influenced by technological advances. One of the technological advances that children like is gadgets. The introduction of gadgets to children usually starts with parents and family showing videos or games on the gadget in the hope that the child will stop crying and not be fussy. This research aims to analyze and describe parents' economic status, parenting patterns, gadget use duration, and early childhood social development. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The total sample was 158 parents. The data collection instrument uses a questionnaire that meets the validity and reliability test requirements. Data analysis to test hypotheses uses path analysis. Based on the results of this research, it was found that first, there is a direct relationship between economic status and children's social development. Second, parenting styles and children's social development. Third, the duration of gadget use depends on the child's social development. Fourth, economic status and duration of gadget use. Fifth, parenting patterns and duration of gadget use. Sixth, economic status through the duration of gadget use and children's social development. Seventh, economic status through the duration of gadget use and children's social development. It was concluded that there was a relationship between economic status, parenting patterns, and duration of gadget use with the social development of early childhood.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pola asuh permisif grandparent terhadap perilaku prososial anak usia 4-5 tahun di Kecamatan Ciracap menggunakan Desain Eksperimen Semu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama enam bulan di PAUDÂ Kecamatan Ciracap dan sampel yang digunakan adalah 50 orang guru di lembaga PAUD. Penggumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi dan kuesioner atau angket. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas data, uji homogenitas data, uji reabilitas, dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan analisis data beserta interpretasinya, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pola asuh permisif yang diterapkan oleh grandparent berpengaruh terhadap perilaku prososial anak. Hal ini berdasarkan nilai rata-rata dari uji t berpasangan menunjukan adanya perbedaan dimana nilai rata-rata (mean) prososial pada anak kelas eksperimen sebelum diberikan pemahaman adalah sebesar 43,80 dan nilai rata-rata (mean) prososial pada anak kelas eksperimen setelah diberikan pemahaman meningkat menjadi 78,39 dengan selisih nilai rata-rata (mean) sebasar 34,59 yang berarti bahwa terdapat peningkatan prososial pada anak sebesar 34,59. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa dengan pola asuh permisif yang dilakukan oleh grandparent dapat membantu anak usia dini untuk mulai melakukan kegiatan prososial seperti menolong, berbagi, berempati, bertoleransi dan kegiatan sosial lainnya

In the process of distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, early age students have to study from home and need parental guidance. However many parents are still less able to guide their children in online learning activities. This study aimed to analyze fathers’ involvement in early childhood care during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of study was qualitative. The approach used in this study was a case study. Data collection used interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) methods. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The technique used to analyze the data was a descriptive qualitative analysis of data analysis by Miles and Huberman. The results of this study were as follows. First, fathers still carry out learning activities but do not leave their duties as a father. Second, fathers still take the time to present themselves to their children by accompanying them to activities. Third, the responsibility given by the father to the child is indeed more dominant in financial terms. Fourth, fathers’ activities when they are with their children are various ways. It was concluded that fathers still made time for their children during the Covid-19 pandemic.
