Abstract:Point-of-care musculoskeletal ultrasound can facilitate diagnosis of joint effusions and help guide management of suspected septic joints. This case report describes a previously healthy pediatric patient with acute onset shoulder pain and fever who was found to have leukocytosis and bacteremia.
