Poesia Além Do Espaço E Do Tempo: Hinos Epifânicos Na Lírica Do Ocidente E Do Oriente

Abstract

The present study assembles the poets and essayists Rabindranath Tagore (India, 1861-1941) and Octavio Paz (Mexico, 1914-1998), reflecting on the common foundation that approximates their works. Focusing on comparative studies of literature, the concepts brought by the new paradigms of knowledge, that gather together arts, science and metaphysical ideas, direct the research of the visionary intuition understood as the source of mystical intelligence in poetry. The hermeneutics of visionary experience drawn forth by the French philosopher Henry Corbin, associated to the consciousness primacy theory of quantic physics, direct the present study to an integrative appreciation of the poetic texts from east and west literature.
