Pod Spot and Seed Blight: A New Disease of Mesquite Caused by Macrophomina phaseoVma

Abstract: A new disease of pods and seeds of mequite caused by Macrophomina phaseolina is described from Northeastern Brazil. Affected pods showed a brown discolouration which often included pycnidia of the fungus. Infected seeds did not germmate.
