Abstract: Serious soft tissue infections in the spectrum of rapidly progressive necrosis of the fascia and subcutaneous tissue represent a clinical challenge in emergency department clinical practice. Fournier's gangrene (FG) is a presentation thereof that compromises the urogenital area.
