Abstract: Introduction: Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a medical condition leading to pulmonary embolism in most cases. DVT occurs usually in lower limb venous system. Studies in India found that DVT is as prevalent as it exists in the West. Anticoagulation is the common treatment modality.
