Pneumococcal Toxins Reversibly Affect Cochlear Electrophysiology

Abstract: Objectives: Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumococcus) produces various toxic proteins such as pneumolysin, autolysin, neuraminidase, hyaluronidase and pneumococcal surface protein A.
