Pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis Associated with Duodenal Ulcer and Pyloric Stenosis: Report of Two Cases

Abstract: Pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis (PCI) is a rare benign condition affecting portions of the intestinal tract and is characterized by multiple subserosal and submucosal gas cysts of unknown etiology and nonspecific clinical presentation. Its diagnosis is often coincidental. We here present two cases of small intestinal PCI associated with duodenal ulcer and pyloric stenosis.
