PM2.5 Associated PAHs and Inorganic Elements from Combustion of Biomass, Cable Wrapping, Domestic Waste, and Garbage for Power Generation

Abstract: PM 2.5 fractions were collected by re-suspension of the ashes derived from the incineration processes of peanut straw (PS), wheat straw (WS), garbage-fired power plant (GFPP), domestic garbage for volume reduction (DG), and workshop of cable combustion for metal reclamation (WCC) for the analysis of 16 PAHs and 26 elements to obtain the information about their composition profiles, toxicity of PAHs, and exposure risks posed by heavy metals (HMs) and As. GFPP possessed the highest Ʃ16PAHs, while the lowest valu… Show more

“…1 BMI and Age are demographic risk factors for Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 (DMT2) in high PAH exposure 2 Acute proinflammatory activity characterized by CRP, is augmented by elevated monocyte levels and 1-HN and 2-HN independently 3 Prevalence of higher average drinks over time is observed with high PAH exposure 4 Pathway of DMT2 shows sexual dimorphism, with males showing association with triglycerides, and females with CRP independently with HbA1C 5…”

“…In recent years, more attention has been paid to the issues with frequent occurrence of haze and photochemical smog characterized by high loadings of particulate matter and ozone (Elorduy et al, 2016;Cao et al, 2018;Li et al, 2020a and2020b). Fine particulate matter (especially PM2.5) has received widespread attention due to its negative impact on air quality and human health (Li et al, 2019a(Li et al, , 2019b.…”
