“…Plastic bronchitis (also called fibrinous bronchitis and bronchial croup) [1], described in both adults and children, is thought to be rare. Only 39 adequately documented pediatric cases had been collected in the literature by Bowen et al [2] when Perez-Soler et al [3] reported bronchial casts in gastric fluid from 72 children having repeated episodes of bronchitisand/or chronic wheezing.…”

“…As much of the current understanding of the malignant biological behavior of IMPC is based on clinical investigations, 43 , 44 , 45 , 46 the characterization of the metabolic reprogramming in IMPC is urgently needed to clarify the molecular mechanisms underlying its high invasive and metastatic behaviors and to establish a promising scientific basis for clinical treatment. In this study, targeted metabonomic analysis of IMPC tumor samples followed by mechanistic verification analyses led to the following conclusions: (1) the metabolomic profile of IMPC revealed elevated arginine methylation; (2) PRMT3 was overexpressed in IMPC and elevated PRMT3 levels correlated with poor clinical prognosis; (3) PRMT3 was identified as a key molecule in regulating the proliferation and metastasis of breast cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo; (4) mechanistic studies demonstrated that PRMT3 might facilitate the occupancy of H3K4me3 and Pol II on ER stress‐related genes by regulating H4R3me2a, promoting the proliferation and invasion of breast cancer cells (Figure 7 ).…”

“…As much of the current understanding of the malignant biological behavior of IMPC is based on clinical investigations, [43][44][45][46] Breast cancer, as a highly heterogeneous disease, is classified by different histological subtypes, clinical symptoms, and prognoses. 47 Metabolomics is a powerful tool for identifying cancer biomarkers and risk factors driving tumorigenesis and tumor progression.…”

“…5 It generally occurs in patients suffering from asthma, cystic fibrosis, or sickle-cell anemia (as an acute chest syndrome), and during post-op for heart surgery. 6 No previous description of PB in thalassemia alpha Figure 1 -Chest x-ray with bilateral hyperinflation, partial atelectasis of the left lung, mediastinum displaced ipsilaterally and discrete bilateral interstitial infiltration patients had previously been published.…”
