Abstract:Plasmablastic lymphoma (PBL) occurs in the setting of immunodeficiency, in association with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, in elderly patients, and in the posttransplantation state. It is exceptionally rare in children. PBL is an aggressive lymphoma with a poor prognosis.
