Abstract: Immunotherapy has altered the therapeutic landscape for patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The immune checkpoint inhibitor pembrolizumab targets the PD-1/PD-L1 signaling axis and produces durable clinical responses, but reliable biomarkers are lacking.
