“…Under field conditions, although the clinical cure of GCTs seems to be determined that the cow become pregnant in the previous report (Leder et al 1988;Haneishi et al 2008), we determined more certainly by confirming both pregnancy (recovery of fertility) and reduction in AMH concentration in this report. It was reported that the immunoreactive AMH expressed in the neoplastic granulosa cells with high blood AMH levels, and blood AMH levels had declined to normal concentrations within a week after surgical extraction of GCTs (Kitahara et al 2012;El-Sheikh Ali et al 2013). The finding of this report is comparable with the above studies that the elevated the plasma AMH concentration declines after surgical removal of the affected ovary.…”

“…The plasma AMH concentration of this report was markedly higher than that of above report. Indeed, in previous reports, the plasma AMH concentrations in cows with GCTs have shown a wider range (0.36-481.07 ng/ml) (Kitahara et al 2012;El-Sheikh Ali et al 2013;El-Sheikh Ali et al 2015). Thus, it seems to be controversial about the diagnostic levels of AMH concentrations for bovine GCTs.…”

“…The microscopic examination performed on the fragments of four ovarian tumours found in this study revealed that in three cases, it was the Granulosa Cell Tumour (GCT), which is a type of sex cord-stromal tumour, composed primarily of neoplastic granulosa cells [32] , and it is the most common bovine ovarian tumour in cattle [32][33][34][35] . In one case, it was the cystadenoma.…”

“…In males, AMH is produced by the Sertoli cell [5]. Anti-Müllerian hormone assays have also been used to evaluate fertility and gonadal pathology in humans and domestic animals [6][7][8][9][10]. In women, serum AMH concentrations decrease with age, independently of the menstrual cycle and the number of pregnancies [7].…”
