“…In Porto Seguro, there is a great number of plant species that are considered native and of economic importance, among them Dichorisandra marantoides, Catasetum purum and Passi ora quadrangularis(AONA et al, 2016;PINTO et al, 2019. The agroforestry system is also recommended in rural properties, as it consists of the integration of crops, livestock and forest, which is a sustainable production strategy and seeks synergistic effects between the components of the agroecosystem(KERSUL et al, 2020; VINHOLIS et al, 2022).For the maintenance of the forest fragments, of soil, or in areas with degraded PPAs, it is necessary to recompose riparian forests, since revegetation with native species protects the riverbanks against erosion through the development and maintenance of roots and also acting as an important factor to maintain the gene ow of species(PAOLINO et al, 2018;PALAGI et al, 2019). Higher education institutions can also promote courses and lectures for the local community that focus on the importance of ecological restoration and keeping the PPAs preserved. The production of handicrafts, development of PPA protection techniques and tourism and ecotourism actions in the corridor and nearby(LOUZADA et al, 2012) in rural properties inserted in the corridor are encouraged, in order to stimulate activities to generate local income for communities and the maintenance of the ecological corridor.…”
