Abstract: BackgroundThe use of intrathecal (IT) methotrexate (MTX) in combination with systemic high dose MTX (HDMTX) is an established procedure for CNS prophylaxis in patients with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), but the evidence for the necessity of this combination is not conclusive.
