Pirfenidone Inhibits Lung Allograft Fibrosis through L-Arginine–Arginase Pathway

Abstract: Transplant-related lung fibrosis is characterized by excessive fibro-collagenous deposition. Induction of arginase, an enzyme that metabolizes L-arginine to urea and L-ornithine, is vital for collagen synthesis.
