Pion self-energy in the chiral bag model

Abstract: The pion self-energy due to the presence of the quark-antiquark pair within the bag is calculated. It is found to grow like N~ as the number N of the qq-pair intermediate states becomes large. Efforts to explain all particle phenomena in view of the gy, v the radial quantum number, K = f ( j + f) ( j is the quark picture have acquired brilliant successes.
