Abstract:Pim‐1 is a proto‐oncogene which has been discovered to involve in cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. In this study, we observed the expression of Pim‐1 in neonatal and adult rat retina and the changes in rat retina following optic nerve crush (ONC) in order to explore the relationship between Pim‐1 and the survival of retinal ganglion cells (RGC).
