“…Mucanje je govorni poremećaj koji je često praćen anksioznošću u socijalno-evaluativnim situacijama. Sve veći broj istraživanja potvrđuje značajan stepen interpersonalne anksioznosti među odraslima koji mucaju (Blood & Blood, 2007;Freud et al, 2020;Garcia-Pastor & Miller, 2019;Iverach & Rapee, 2014;Iverach et al, 2017;Iimura & Miyamoto, 2020;Messenger et al, 2015;Rocha et al, 2019;Scheurich et al, 2019;Yang et al, 2017). Zbog dokazanog uticaja mucanja na kvalitet života i psihosocijalno blagostanje, proučavanje mentalnih poremećaja kod osoba koje mucaju je od velike važnosti u terapiji mucanja (Rezaeian, Akbari, Shirpoor, Moghadasi, Zadeh et al, 2020).…”

“…While fluency shaping and stuttering modification approaches help a person modify their speech patterns to increase fluency and decrease stuttering severity, approaches such as CBT help address unhelpful thought patterns and any fear/anxiety associated with stuttering and speaking situations. This renewed interest in CBT and other psychological approaches extends to providing evidence that these therapeutic interventions, used in conjunction with aforementioned fluency shaping and/or stuttering modification approaches, help decrease stuttering severity as well as improve psychosocial functioning and overall quality of life [24,25,27,28]. These benefits have been reported irrespective of the format in which therapy is delivered, for example, individual or group weekly sessions, intensive therapy at the individual or group level, or online via telepractice/telemedicine [14,26,[29][30][31][32][33].…”
