Pilomatrix carcinomas contain mutations in CTNNB1, the gene encoding β‐catenin

Abstract: Mutations in beta-catenin are present in benign pilomatrixomas. beta-catenin is a downstream effector in the WNT-signalling pathway, acting as a signal for differentiation and proliferation.
