“…However, NGs consisting of single-crystalline KNN nanorods (NRs) did not perform satisfactorily. 25,26 The low piezoelectric response could be due to the short length of the NRs or the non-uniformed nanorod array (NRA) structures, thus limiting the piezoelectric potential generated along the axial direction of the NRs. In addition, a buffered layer with similar lattice structure were always needed for the growth of the KNN NRs in the reported works, leading to complex fabrication procedure and higher cost.…”

“…Moreover, Kang and coworkers have reported a lead-free piezoelectric nanogenerator based on vertically aligned KNN nanorod arrays. The nanogenerator exhibited a stable high power density of ∼101 W/cm 3 [41].…”

“…While the amount of energy harvested from mechanical vibrations is relatively small, the greatly reduced power consumption of modern devices allows it to replace or at least supplement traditional batteries [3]. There have been numerous works to increase the conversion efficiency through prudent choice of appropriate onedimensional nano-materials [4][5][6][7] and by optimizing existing device structures [8][9][10][11].…”
