PIECS - a software program for machine tool Process-Intermittent Error Compensation

Abstract: This report documents software, called PIECS, that performs process-intermittent error compensation for a turning center. The program is a part of a larger three loop control architecture that includes a real-time geometric-thermal error compensation loop and a postprocess loop.
