ÖZKistik ekinokokkozis sıklıkla karaciğer ve akciğerde görülmekle birlikte birçok organda yerleşim gösterebilir. Hastalığın endemik olarak gö-rüldüğü ülkelerde bile pankreas yerleşimli hidatik kist olguları nadir olup, genellikle izoledir. Pankreas kist hidatikleri özellikle psödokist ve pankreasın kistik karsinomları ile ayırıcı tanısının yapılması gereken olgular olması nedeni ile önem taşımaktadır. Literatür (PubMed) taramasında çocukluk yaş grubunda pankreas ile birlikte karaciğerin de tutulduğu kistik ekinokokkozis olgusuna rastlayamadık. Bu yazıda, kolestazla gelen çocukta pankreatik kistik ekinokokkozisin etyolojide rol alabileceği ve bu kistin izole olmayabileceği vurgulanıp, olgu literatür ışığında tartışıldı. Even in countries where hydatid cyst disease is endemic, the occurrence of pancreatic hydatid cysts is rare. Pancreatic hydatid cysts are important for the differential diagnosis of patients with pancreatic pseudocysts and cystic carcinomas. We could not find cystic echinococcosis cases which are kept together pancreas and liver in PubMed. In this article, we highlight the fact that pancreatic cystic echinococcosis may play a role in the etiology of cholestasis and that cysts may not be isolated in the pancreas in a pediatric population.

ÖZETKist hidatik dalakta en sık görülen parazitik kist sebebidir. Dalakta izole olabilecekleri gibi dissemine ekinokokkozisin bir parçası olarak da bulunabilirler. Bu yazıda splenektomi ve ototransplantasyonla tedavi ettiğimiz bir splenik kist hidatik vakasını sunmaktayız. On yedi yaşında bayan hasta hastanemize karın ağrısı şikayetiyle başvurdu. Hastaya primer dalak kist hidatiği tanısı konularak splenektomi ve ototransplantasyon yapıldı. Sonuç olarak dalaktaki kistik lezyonların kist hidatik açısından değerlendirilmesini öneriyoruz. Splenektomi ve ototransplantasyon hem tedavide hem de dalak fonksiyonlarının korunmasında etkindir.J. Exp. Clin. Med., 2012; 29:239-241 Hydatid cyst is the most common cause of parasitic cysts in spleen. Hydatid cysts may be isolated in spleen or as a part of disseminated echinoccosis. We report here a case of splenic hydatid cyst which we treated with splenectomy and autotransplantation. A seventeen year old female admitted to hospital complaining dull abdominal pain. Patient was diagnosed with primary splenic cyst hydatic and we performed splenectomy and autotransplantation. In conclusion, we recommend that cystic lesions of the spleen should be examined for hydatid cyst. Splenectomy and autotransplantation is useful for both treatment and for preservation of splenic functions.

Spinal hydatid disease is an infestation characterized by multivesicular diffuse infiltration of the cancellous bone, including corpus vertebrae, pedicles, and the lamina. This is a rare condition leading to severe neurological problems. In the spinal area, the most commonly involved part is the thoracic region. Diagnosis is difficult and frequently delayed until signs and symptoms of spinal cord and nerve compression develop. There are no characteristic signs and symptoms. Most common signs are low back pain, radicular pain, paraparesis or paraplegia, sensation disorders, and bladder/intestine dysfunction. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the most sensitive diagnostic method. In the treatment of spinal hydatid cyst, surgery is still accepted as the "gold standard". Antihelmintic agents and benzimidazole derivatives can also be combined with surgical treatment, particularly for preventing recurrences. After review of the related literature, it is emphasized that physicians should be careful in the differential diagnosis of patients applying with spinal pain, radicular pain, progressive myelopathy or spinal cord compression syndrome. Because of high mortality and morbidity; importance of early diagnosis and treatment is highlighted along with emphasizing eradication of disease.
