“…Amblyseius exopodalis Kennett, 1958 Schuster & Pritchard (1963) This species is quite distinct from A. eucumeris, with setae D2-D4, Ml, L7, and L8 quite short, M2 and L9 relatively long, and L4 > L1 > L2 > L3; D5 is absent. It was adequately figured by Schuster & Pritchard (1963), and is known from California and Arizona. It has not been found again in New Zealand since the original record from strawberry (Collyer 1964).…”

“…Leg IV usually has a short macroseta on the basitarsus, rarely spatulate in New Zealand material but often blunt or knobbed. Schuster (1959) described T. caudiglans, which had previously been confused with T. rhenanus (Oudemans) of Europe, and it was figured again by Schuster & Pritchard (1963) and Chant et al (1974). Like so many species of wide distribution it is subject to considerable variation.…”

“…It was recently observed in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of northwest China (Wang et Article al., 2015a). It was previously recorded from Iran, Russia, Greece, Cyprus, and the United States (De Leon, 1962;Wainstein, 1962;Schuster & Pritchard, 1963;Faraji et al, 2007;Palevsky et al, 2009). Wang et al, (2015a) redescribed this species and discussed the morphological differences between the Chinese population of this species with Cydnodromus comitatus (De Leon, 1962), Amblyseius scyphus (Schuster & Pritchard, 1963), Amblyseius micmac (Chant and Hansell, 1971) and Amblyseius hirotae (Ehara, 1985), which were considered as the synonyms of N. bicaudus.…”
