Abstract:Albizia lebbeck is herb belonging to the family Fabaceae. It has several phyto-constituents that show many health benefits. Traditionally it is used to cure fever, diarrhoea, dysentery, asthma, cold, cough, conjunctivitis, arthritis, dental problems and skin disease. It has anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-pyretic and immune-modulatory property. The plant contains alkaloids, flavones, flavonoids, tannins, saponins and phenolic compounds.
