Phytochemical Study of Ixora Finlaysoniana Wall. EX.G.DON Growing in Egypt

Abstract: ‫منها‬ .A hydrocarbon alcohol, nonacosanol (1), -amyrin (2) and -sitosterol (3) were isolated from the n-hexane fraction of the methanolic extract of Ixora finlaysoniana. From the chloroform fraction, four compounds were isolated; 3-hydroxyhexan-5-olide (4), protocatechuic acid (5), gallic acid (6) and -sitostreol glucoside (7).
