Phytochemical Screening and Antimicrobial Analysis of Aqueous Extracts of Wild Mango Varieties

Abstract: Phytochemical screening and antibacterial activity of aqueous extracts of bark and leaf of eighteen mango varieties growing in the village Hanavadi, Malavalli taluk, Mandya district, Karnataka state were conducted. They showed the presence of alkaloids, steroids, flavonoids, tannins, cardiac glycosides, saponnins, resins, carbohydrates and proteins.
