Azadirachta indica L. is a multipurpose medicinal tree of family Meliaceae. It occurs in tropical and semitropical regions of the world. Different parts of this miraculous tree are used to treat pyrexia, headache, ulcer, respiratory disorders, cancer, diabetes, leprosy, malaria, dengue, chicken pox, and dermal complications. The tree is popular for its pharmacological attributes such as hypolipidemic, antifertility, microbicidal, antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective, antipyretic, hypoglycemic, insecticidal, nematicidal, antiulcer, antioxidant, neuroprotective, cardioprotective, and antileishmaniasis properties. A. indica is also rich in various phytochemicals for pharmaceuticals such as alkaloids, steroids, flavonoids, terpenoids, fatty acids, and carbohydrates. The fungicidal potential of the tree is due to the presence of azadirachtin and nimbin. Herein, we have compiled a comprehensive review of phytochemical profile, pharmacological attributes, and therapeutic prospective of this multipurpose tree.

Heterocyclic chemistry has grown very rapidly, particularly in evaluating synthetic methods and investigating synthesized materials' bioactive properties . Heterocycle compounds are important in many facets of life's pharmacological activities. In their structure, many biologically active compounds such as amino acids, vitamins, hormones, nucleic acids, alkaloids, dyes, and drugs (natural and synthetic) possess heterocyclic ring molecules. Various pyrazole derivatives and their numerous physiological and pharmacological effects have been the subject of numerous investigations during the last decade. Part of the goal of these investigations was to uncover the vast spectrum of drug-like properties of pyrazole derivatives and their structure-activity connections to unlock the full potential of these molecules. This article focuses on the chemistry and pharmaceutic activity of the heterocycle pyrazoline, i.e., nitrogen-containing five-membered ring. An account of a different mode of synthesis from different starting materials is shown, along with the highlights of the therapeutic activity of pyrazoline.

Many oxidative stress related diseases are as a consequence of accumulation of free radicals in the body. The various researches are going on globally directed towards finding natural antioxidants of plants origins. We planned to investigate the preliminary phytochemical screening and in vitro antioxidant activity of Nigella sativa and Allium cepa oil.The yield of oil of Nigella sativa and Allium cepa were 21.5% and 27.3%, respectively.Phytochemical screening was performed by using standard methods. The in vitro antioxidant study was done for Nigella sativa and Allium cepa oil by using hydrogen-donating activity, superoxide scavenging activity, hydrogen peroxide scavenging assay and reducing power assay. The result of phytochemical screening demonstrated the presence of flavonoids, steroids and fats in Nigella sativa and Allium cepa oil. The findings of DPPH, superoxide, reducing power and H2O2 radical scavenging activity exhibited that the oil of Nigella sativa and Allium cepa showed moderately to strongly free radical scavenging activity. Hence Nigella sativa and Allium cepa oil can play a major role in alleviating the number of oxidative stress by reducing the oxidative damage to cellular component caused by Reactive oxygen species (ROS).
