Abstract: Sphaeranthus indicus Linn (Asteraceae) is commonly known as Munditika, Mundi, Shravana, Bhikshu, Tapodhana, Mahashravani, Shravanahva, and Shravanashirshaka. It is generally found in wet places of the lowlands and also grows as a weed in rice fields.
