“…3 A fisioterapia influencia de forma significativa para a preservação e melhora dos aspectos funcionais relacionados à estrutura, função, atividade e participação, levando em consideração fatores ambientais e pessoais 4 , com base nos domínios da funcionalidade relacionados ao movimento humano, ao sistema cardiovascular, respiratório, tegumentar e demais sistemas, resultando na melhora da qualidade de vida, no menor tempo de internação hospitalar e na redução dos custos ao sistema de saúde. 5,6,7 Apesar da grande importância do profissional fisioterapeuta incluído no processo de reabilitação em um setor de internação hospitalar, a demanda de pacientes frequentemente está acima da quantidade de fisioterapeutas disponíveis. 8 A Resolução número 387/2011 do Conselho Federal de Fisioterapia e Terapia Ocupacional (COFFITO) estipula a quantidade de pacientes que devem ser atendidos por um fisioterapeuta em um período de trabalho de 6 horas, que é em torno de 8 até 10 pacientes, porém essa quantidade não atende à demanda imposta, sendo necessária a elaboração de protocolos para triagem de prioridade no atendimento fisioterapêutico.…”
