Physiological Markers and Reflex Pattern Progression in Individuals with Neurodevelopmental Deficits Utilizing the MNRI Method

Abstract: The physiological markers of 310 individuals aged 2 through 19 were evaluated for the effects of the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration Method on their four body systems: respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, and nervous systems of individuals with neurodevelopmental deficits-cerebral palsy (CP), seizures, traumatic and acute brain injury, attention deficit and hyperactive disorders (ADD, ADHD), autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, post-trauma and post-traumatic stress disorders. We found that 53.… Show more

“…A statistically significant reduction in EEG activity for High Beta (25-30 Hz) has been demonstrated. Changes close to being statistically significant were seen for Beta3 (18)(19)(20)(21)(22)(23)(24)(25). There were no statistically significant differences for the remaining frequency bands.…”

“…Table 1, The Reflex Assessment's main orientation is determining if feedback responses within the reflex physiological circuits are proper to the given genetic motor pattern [21]. The level of maturity of a reflex affects the brain, which influences, in its turn, the development of the motor, social, emotional skills, and other factors [22,23]. Statistical analysis of the results of Reflex Assessment was carried out to create Reflex Profiles for children with ASD to identify strategies for neurodevelopment corrective work for them.…”

“…Trans-disciplinary referrals and specialized therapies helped the parents access complementary structural and functional supports for their twins. The girls had the most sessions of any intervention during the time of this reporting with an occupational therapist who focused on the specialized technique of neuro-sensory motor reflex integration [ 164 , 165 , 166 , 167 ] to support the integration process of primary motor reflex patterns and encourage nervous system regulation. This technique is believed to help reengage inhibited neural pathways or facilitate the activation of alternate neural pathways.…”
