Abstract: Ascorbate peroxidase (APX) reduces H2O2 to H2O by utilizing ascorbate as specific electron donor and constitutes the ascorbate-glutathione cycle in organelles of plants including chloroplasts, cytosol, mitochondria, and peroxisomes.
