Abstract:The density and viscosity of aqueous solutions of 2-amino-2-hydroxymethyl-1,3-propanediol (AHPD) as well as the Henry's law constants and diffusivity of N 2 O in these solutions were measured over the temperature range from (298 to 323) K at atmospheric pressure. The mass fractions of AHPD used were (2.17 to 21.7) %. The "N 2 O analogy" was used to estimate the Henry's law constants and diffusivity of CO 2 in aqueous AHPD solutions. The experimental density, viscosity, Henry's law constants, and diffusivity da… Show more

The diffusion coefficient of CO 2 in aqueous PZ-AHPD solutions, (D CO 2 ) Amines was estimated using the (D 1/2 CO 2 /H CO 2 ) Amines ratio obtained in this work and the values of (H CO 2 ) AHPD taken from Paul et al (2009). “…The diffusivity and physical solubility of CO 2 were required to calculate the reaction rate constants and enhancement factors. The density and viscosity of (AHPD + H 2 O) and the physical solubility and diffusivity of CO 2 into (AHPD + H 2 O) are available in our recent publication [32]. The diffusivities of AHPD into (AHPD + H 2 O) were calculated by the following equation:…”
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
