Physicochemical and antiproliferative characteristics of RNA and DNA sequence-related G-quadruplexes

Abstract: In this article the physicochemical and biological properties of sequence-related G-quadruplex forming oligonucleotides in RNA and DNA series are analyzed and compared. The intermolecular G-quadruplexes vary in loop length, number of G-tetrads and homogeneity of the core. Our studies show that even slight variations in sequence initiate certain changes of G-quadruplex properties.
