“…The hyperchromic shift in the absorption spectra of CFX in GLY and ILU exhibits the significance of hydrophilic–hydrophilic/ionic interactions among them. In the case of CFX/ILU system, the blue shift in wavelength of CFX is due to a greater extent of interactions than CFX/GLY system. , These results are in concordance with our volumetric results.…”

“…Overall, Δ tr V 2,Φ 0 and Δ tr K s,2,Φ 0 values increase with increasing temperature. Kaur et al have reported the positive as well as negative values of Δ tr V 2,Φ 0 for uracil and thymine over the studied concentration of caffeine but only positive values of Δ tr V 2,Φ 0 for the nucleosides. Banipal et al have also determined that in guanidine hydrochloride solutions, positive and negative values of Δ tr V 2,Φ 0 for nucleic acid bases/nucleosides were found at the temperatures measured.…”

“…The exothermicity arise may be because of interactions between polar groups of solutes and polar groups of Cfx, such as −NH of solute and −CO of Cfx and −CO of solute and −OH of Cfx. Kaur et al also reported the interactions between caffeine and nucleic acid bases/nucleosides, and found that the negative Δ tr Δ dil H ° values could be attributed to the exothermicity produce from the hydrophilic–hydrophilic or hydrogen-bonding interactions between the solute-caffeine molecules. As mentioned earlier, the negative values of Δ tr V 2,Φ 0 , Δ tr K s,2,Φ 0 , and Δ tr B were observed for the solutes at the various concentration of Cfx.…”
