Objective: The current study aim is to evaluate impact of workplace ergonomics training intervention on the Intern nurses’ work life quality.Methods: The study accompanied through a quasi-experimental design with all nurse interns who registered in internship year, in operating rooms and critical care units at El Demerdash Hospital which are allied to Ain Shams University Hospitals. A triple-section questionnaire was used for data collection: First, part I - nurse interns’ socio demographic profile. Part II - self-administered knowledge questionnaire. Second, nurse interns’ performance observational checklist. Third, Brooks’ Quality of Nursing Work Life survey.Results: The study reported that nurse intern’ knowledge and practice related to workplace ergonomics were improved in the post intervention and follow up phases. Also, interns’ total quality of nursing work life was highly statistically significant different during post intervention and follow up phases when compared with pre intervention phase.Conclusions: The findings of this study concluded that ergonomics training intervention had positive impact on nurse interns’ work life quality in post and after three months from the intervention of training intervention compared to the pre intervention phase. The study recommends that nurse interns should adhere to safety guidelines in all their practices and provides nurse interns with safe patient handling and mobility training programs.

Clove farmers who are currently still using wood as a footrest mounted on bamboo, more specifically, this invention relates to the design of a new footing design for bamboo stairs using metal clamps as a substitute for wooden steps which are often at risk of breaking. To overcome existing problems, craftsmen need to be given a bamboo ladder (Banggul) for picking clove flowers that is ergonomic and safe using strong and light metal clamps as an ergonomic footrest that can be installed and removed and the distance of the bamboo steps can be adjusted according to anthropometry. the farmer’s knees are high so that when he climbs the bamboo steps his working attitude is natural. The results showed that the workload of farmers reached 127,54 ± 4,90 dpm (heavy workload), while the resting pulse 75,61 ± 0,506 dpm or experiencing an increase 51,935± 2,19 dpm. Musculoskeletal complaints before work 30,32 ± 1,52 and after-work complaints score 51,20 ± 5,021. Fatigue scores after work increased from before work 32,10 ± 3,354 while the fatigue score after work increased to 55,11 ± 4,321.

The height of the cloves at which they begin to flower, which is about 20 meters, is a factor that affects the clove harvesting procedure. This means that collecting cloves at height necessitates using tools that ensure worker safety. The agricultural industry is susceptible to ergonomic work risks resulting from several elements, such as worker characteristics, job demands and procedures, work organization, and environmental conditions. It is necessary to prioritize people as the critical consideration in defining work or human-centered design to manage ergonomic risks. This research analyzes the risk facts for clove flower pickers with a comprehensive method covering task, organization, and environment. This study was conducted during the clove flower harvest season from July to September 2023 at the plantation in Munduk Village-Bali, with 107 participants. Data on ergonomic hazards from internal and external factors before and after work were collected from MSDs and predicted using the Nordic Body Map questionnaire; fatigue was measured using the Core questionnaire Quality of Life (EORTC QLQ- C30), rating pulses were measured using a pulse meter. The data obtained were analyzed using SEM (Structural Equation Model). Significant differences were p < 0.05. The results of the research show that internal factors, particularly age, exert a negative influence on productivity. External factors, including body posture, time conditions, social conditions, information conditions, and human-tool interactions, significantly influenced productivity. This highlighted the importance of optimizing the "human-machine-environment" system to enhance safety, efficiency, and overall well-being.
