A number of other studies have provided a physical description of iceberg ice (Arockiasamy and others, 1983; Jeffries and others, 1990, 1991; Poplin and Ralston, 1992; Masterson and others, 1993; Gagnon and Gammon, 1995; Barrette and Sinha, 1996), but they have not addressed the nature of these planar features.
