Abstract:Echovirus 5 (E5) belongs to the enterovirus B (EV-B) species, which is one of the pathogens causing respiratory diseases. Only two whole genome sequences (WGSs) of E5 are available in GenBank, and few studies on E5 have been reported worldwide.
