Phthalimide-Carried Disulfur Transfer To Synthesize Unsymmetrical Disulfanes via Copper Catalysis

Abstract: A versatile Cu-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction to various unsymmetrical disulfanes has been presented, from phthalimide-carried disulfur transfer reagents and commercially available boronic acids under mild and practical conditions. The method features the unprecedented use of phthalimide-carried disulfurating reagents (Harpp reagent) in cross-coupling chemistry and is highlighted by the broad substrate scopes, even applicable for the transfer of aryldisulfur moieties (ArSS−). Notably, the robustness of this… Show more

“…The enlarged view of (002) diffraction peaks in Supplementary data). All samples show broad peaks assigned to amine groups or 3 water between 2900 and 3600 cm -1 , characteristic stretching modes of CN 4 heterocycles from 1200 to 1600 cm -1 , and a typical breathing mode of the triazine 5 units at ≈810 cm -1 , revealing their similar chemical structures. Besides, as the TEM 6 images show ( Fig.…”

“…After equilibrium adsorption, the suspension was 2 exposed to visible-light irradiation with magnetic stirring. At given time intervals, 3 about 5.0 mL of suspension was continually taken from the reaction cell for 4 subsequent target dye concentration analysis after centrifuging. The degradation 5 efficiencies of MO and RhB were evaluated using a Hitachi U-3010 UV-vis 6 spectrophotometer.…”
