Phrase Rhythm and Loss in the Music of Maurice Ravel

Abstract: A particular subset of Ravel's output features a phrase‐rhythmic technique wherein tonal and thematic returns are accompanied by surprisingly asymmetrical or ambiguous phrase rhythm.
