Photothermal antenna effects derived from the one-to-one coupling nanohybrids of Au plasmonics and MoS2 semiconductors

Abstract: One-to-one coupling nanostructures of Au particles and layered MoS2 are constructed. Herein, enhanced photothermal performances are promoted by the antenna effect of Au plasmonics, resulting in emerging DNA sensing assays.

“…[10][11][12] In case of nonspecific aggregation, gold NPs are normally prepared in the presence of stabilizers, such as small molecules, 13 proteins, 14 nucleic acids, 15,16 polymers, 17 and inorganic materials, 18,19 and LSPR performances promote a broad range of applications. [20][21][22] Nevertheless, even though gold NPs can be stabilized by chemical ligands, slight changes in colorimetric signals are still recorded when nanoprobes are added in these complex samples. It is supposed that if gold NPs could be everlastingly encapsulated on a net substrate, the stability and reproducibility of their growth and sensing applications can be improved.…”

“…The analysis of the aqueous phase might be restricted due to the weak stability and anti-interference capacity of nanoprobes. In order to address those issues, the establishment of an in situ and real-time analysis method in non-aqueous systems is highly encouraged for the measurement of heavy metal ions. …”
