Photosynthesis and Drymass Production of Winter Wheat in Response to Micro‐Sprinkling Irrigation

Abstract: Core Ideas Supplemental irrigation with micro‐sprinkling hose was suitable for wheat. The Fv/Fm, ΦPSII, and photosynthetic rate increased with increased hose sprinkling angle. Supplemental irrigation with 80° sprinkling angle hose increased dry matter, grain‐filling rate, and duration. All benefits were hypothesized to accrue through the increased soil water uniformity. Water‐saving irrigation techniques are critical for winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) development in the Huang‐Huai‐Hai Plain of China and a… Show more

“…At the same time, we must improve the quality of cultivated land. First, it is necessary to improve the technical and management levels of agricultural management [41,42] and improve the efficiency of the water use of food crops by increasing the construction of farmland water infrastructure and promoting water-saving irrigation technologies (such as drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation and deficit irrigation) [43,44]. From a genetic point of view, it is possible to breed high-yielding and superior crop varieties, which in turn will lead to higher grain yields [45].…”

“…2. Well water was obtained using a submersible pump 2018 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim www.plant-soil.com and uniformly sprayed in the field with micro-sprinkling hoses (Man et al, 2017). A water meter and a valve installed at one end of the hoses were used to measure and control the amount of irrigation.…”

“…The soil carbon cycle was also changed due to the increase in the soil dry-wet cycle [15,16]. Compared with the field microsprinkler pipe, the MSPF in facility agriculture can reduce the influence of the external environment on the soil wetting body [17][18][19]. The MSPF can solve the spray atomization of microsprinkler irrigation, which is easy to increase air humidity.…”
