Photolysis of C2H2F2Br2 Mixture with O2 in the Oxygen Pressure Range 1–3.5 Torr

Abstract: At the wavelength λ = 253.7 nm, the photolysis of a C 2 H 2 F 2 Br 2 mixture with oxygen was carried out at pressures of the latter ranging from 1 to 3.5 Torr. It is shown that under these conditions, upon the decay of one C 2 H 2 F 2 Br 2 molecule, only one bromine atom is formed. At wavelengths 230, 240, and 250 nm, the absorption cross sections of one of the photolysis products, the C 2 F 2 BrO 2 radical, are determined.
