Abstract:At the wavelength λ = 253.7 nm, the photolysis of a C 2 H 2 F 2 Br 2 mixture with oxygen was carried out at pressures of the latter ranging from 1 to 3.5 Torr. It is shown that under these conditions, upon the decay of one C 2 H 2 F 2 Br 2 molecule, only one bromine atom is formed. At wavelengths 230, 240, and 250 nm, the absorption cross sections of one of the photolysis products, the C 2 F 2 BrO 2 radical, are determined.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
