Photoluminescence of Ce and Pr codoped calcium thiogallate

Abstract

We investigated the room temperature photoluminescence of calcium thiogallate codoped with Ce and Pr.\ud Line shaped emissions superimposed over a wide and composed luminescence band were observed. Different\ud components were distinguished by means of time resolved photoluminescence measurements, and\ud were attributed to the dopant species. A band at 2.24 eV, not previously reported, was observed
