“…In addition, halide perovskites are good candidates for the counter electrode in a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC), which is generally constructed using mesoporous dye-adsorbed titanium oxide (TiO 2 ) as a photoanode, an iodide-based electrolyte, and a platinum (Pt) counter electrode. A DSSC is a very reliable electrochemical system to differentiate the electro-catalytic activities of various types of electro-catalysts on the counter electrode, 21 including metallic-type (e.g., Pt, Au, and alloys), 22 organic-type (e.g., carbons and conducting polymers), 23 inorganic-type (e.g., transition metal carbides/nitrides/oxides/sulfides/selenides), 24,25 and composite-type (e.g., polypyrrole/multiwalled carbon nanotubes, 26 MoSe 2 /multi-walled carbon nanotubes, 26 metal organic framework/PEDOT, 27 Ni/Co/N-doped carbon polyhedron/carbon nanotubes, 28 perovskite oxides, 29 etc.).
