Photocatalytic dehydrogenation of ammonia borane over Ti3C2/MOF-supported Pd-doped Co nanoparticles

Xiaodie Huang,
Ziye Liu,
Jingjing Tu
et al.

Abstract: Pd-Doped Co nanoparticles were incorporated into Ti3C2/UiO-66-NH2 composite. The heterogeneous catalyst exhibited outstanding catalytic activity for the dehydrogenation of ammonia borane under light irradiation at 298 K.

“…In order to solve the escalating environmental crisis resulting from the overconsumption and resource shortage of fossil fuels, hydrogen (H 2 ) has garnered extensive research interest as a promising energy carrier due to its merits of high energy density, clean combustion performance and sustainability. 1–4 However, the safe and efficient storage and transportation of H 2 , as well as on demand availability, are considered to be the major barriers for the hydrogen-based energy society. 5–7 Hydrazine borane (HB), a white solid substance with hydrogen content up to 15.4 wt%, has gained recognition as a potential chemical hydrogen storage material because of its easy synthesis, good chemical stability, and convenient hydrogen generation.…”
