“…BC has been known for its application on wastewater treatment, soil and sediment adsorption. Furthermore, BC has recently used as supporting materials [21], [22]. In other hands, BC were reported used as an adsorbent to remove heavy metals [9], [23] and organic waste [20], [24], [25].…”

“…It has gained plenty of successes for its outstanding advantages of low agglomeration, better product purity, higher dispersion and low cost in energy [65]. Different kinds of BCPs can be attained by the hydrothermal/solvothermal technique [36,[45][46][47][48][49][50][51][52][53].…”

“…The synthesis route for BCPs has great influence on photocatalytic performance. Various efficient methods and approaches have been reported for the synthesis of BCPs (summarized in Table 1), including sol-gel [28][29][30][31][32]43,44], hydrothermal/solvothermal [36,38,39,[45][46][47][48][49][50][51][52][53], ultrasound [40,41,54,55], calcination [34,[56][57][58] and in situ methods [35,59], etc.…”

“…Antibiotics are mainly used in health care, animal husbandry, and aquaculture, especially now the extensive use of Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products (PPCPs), the pollution of water resources caused by excess antibiotics has attracted much attention. At present, the widely used antibiotics mainly include quinolones [ 225 ] (QNs), fluoroquinolones [ 226 ] (FQs), and tetracyclines [ 227 ] (TCs), and so on, among which TCs is one of the most frequently detected antibiotics in sewage. However, antibiotic wastewater has the characteristics of low concentration, high antibacterial activity, and inhibition to microorganisms, conventional biochemical and physicochemical water treatment processes are not ideal methods for the removal of antibiotics, while TiO 2 has a good application prospect in the treatment of antibiotic wastewater.…”
